Resume:
As a French and Spanish student (Native English), I've always been captivated by the art of translation. It's more than just converting words from one language to another; it's about preserving the essence, the nuances, and the cultural context of the original text. My journey in translation has been an enriching and challenging experience, filled with moments of inspiration and instances of grappling with linguistic intricacies. I first found my passion for translation whilst studying Immigration texts: this is an aspect that I enjoy thoroughly given my expertise in Mexican-US relations and French Colonial Relations. I have translated extracts from El Mundo, Le Monde and even some video extracts used by the UN. Although I have not yet translated professionally, I enjoy doing this outside of my degree and would use this opportunity to further expand my experience as a translator.
