What little I may have is mainly through the study of the language. As for editing and/or proofreading skills, however, I would say that I have above average ability in this area. And though this has never been an actual job title of mine, I have been, from time to time, requested by name for my proofreading skills. I have also been hired as an exam scorer for essays written in my native language, and thus I have knowledge of the elements of what constitutes a good piece of writing and what distinguishes it from writing of lesser quality.
