It is still the only language I speak at home whenever I talk to my parents because they do not understand English. I took a credit-by-exam in middle school and did very well in it (I believe I scored a 98 for both the written and oral sections of the exam) which allowed me to skip over to Spanish 3. Then I took AP Spanish in 8th grade and got a 5. Later on in high school I took IB Spanish and got a 7 on the higher level exam. As for translating experience, I grew up having to translate important governmental documents for my parents. I also translate all of my mother's text messages that she sends to her clients.
