Resume:
Hello, I am a native Italian speaker fluent in English since I have lived in the U.K. for almost a decade. I have an academic background in History of Art (BA) and Publishing (MA) and I have worked in the publishing industry for the last seven years.

While doing a university internship in Prague, I have translated the guide of the Museum of Czech Cubism from English into Italian. This is the translation experience I currently have but after completing my master degree in Oxford, which required a constant production of essays in English, I proceeded to work at publishers such as Penguin Random House and Faber, the latter being one of the leading literary publishers in Britain. There, I worked in the production department which involved project managing other teams within the publishing house and liaising with printers but I was also in charge of carrying out text corrections for our books, a task that required a sharp focus on the texts I was working on.

Although I have experience within the humanities, I am confident in translating any text from English into Italian and vice versa and in providing editing and proofreading services in these tongues. I have also studied French and Spanish and despite my conversation skills being more limited, I am able to read in both languages which allows me to translate French and Spanish texts into Italian or English if required.

I am currently taking a sabbatical year and I would love to use this time to improve my skills as a translator and offer my linguistic abilities to help charities and communities worldwide.
